New Year’s resolution poll
December 20, 2008
UPDATE (12/30/2008): I’ve compiled the results of this poll on this post.
–
There are a few posts about New Year’s resolutions going around (here and here).
Since the majority of my readers are actively involved in science in one way or another — students, faculty at colleges/universities, researchers at universities, working in industry, teachers, science writers/reporters, and so on — I figured this poll might be another way to approach the resolution theme.
If I set it up correctly, you should be able to choose more than one answer.
I hope to accomplish several of these in 2009.

Tis the season for resolutions…
New year resolutions remind me of firecrackers: they light up brightly for a short period of time and fade almost immediately.
Anyway I’m a long way from most of the things listed on the poll except starting a blog (on geology from the Nigerian perspective) apart from beginning a masters programme and…don’t bother!
Ikenna,
A geology blog from the Nigerian perspective would be terrific — we need some geoblogging from the northern half of the African continent. Please do! And let the rest of us know when it’s up and running…

Oh my, getting in shape is winning. Are we all that fat? :D
New Years resolutions are stupid, if people want to make changes then they do it whenever they think of the change that needs to be made. IMO, New Years resolutions are an excuse for not making changes.
What a Graeat post, and yes! all of us need to be in better shape!!!, Now, you are on my favorites! Happy 2009!
